Rio is a great place to visit in the Winter Months, and here's why:
1. Cooler temperatures - Winter temperatures average 78°F (26°) during the day and 65°F (18°C) at night. Perfect weather for walking, hiking, and moving about.
2. Less rain and lower humidity levels - June, July & August are the lowest rainfall months, and the humidity is much lower than in the summer. Your sightseeing and beach outings are much less likely to be spoiled.
3. The beaches are less crowded - Unless you like to be packed in like a sardine, you'll enjoy wide open spaces on the beach.
4. The bars and restaurants are also less crowded - which translates into no waiting for a table and better service.
